Happy Sunday afternoon.
Things have been moving at what seems like a very rapid pace and in that I have not updated the website with news or blog posts or anything. If you subscribe to the news letter then you are aware of what I have been up to. The new album Rabbit Runs A Destiny is available now exclusively through PledgeMusic. I chose PledgeMusic because of the community aspect of the platform and that I get to give money to a charity as well. I have chosen the Pablove Foundation to give 10% of all money to after the set goal. The fight childhood cancer with love by raising money for research and working directly with children living with cancer through the arts and music.
Recently when we hit the 20% mark I gave away the live recording, for pledgers only, of the track We Were Young from this video, shot in Waverly, Alabama during the 13th Annual Old 280 Boogie.

Huge thanks to everyone who has passed my music around for many years. Thrilled that it found its way into the ears of the very kind Bruce Warren from WXPN in Phillidelphia. I am very grateful and thankful that he and David Dye featured my new song Rabbit Runs A Destiny on World Cafe Next. It is the title track off my new album which will be out May 21st.
I'll be posting more very soon about everything I have coming up for the album and maybe some art work.
You can read all about it right here.
Love,

Hey y'all--
Today is the release date of my first new music in 3 years. It has been a long time coming, but I'm so excited to share with you these three songs, which are just the beginning in a whole new era of music for me.
Download The Rebel King EP Via NoiseTrade

Last year, I went into the studio with my good friend Armand Margjeka, who's a great singer-songwriter in his own right. I wanted to get away from the stripped-down acoustic side of things that I'd explored with my last two albums, and instead shake things up, try some news sounds and just throw ideas at the wall until we found the album that I knew was there.
You'll get a chance to hear those new tunes later this year when I drop my full-length, Rabbit Runs a Destiny, but in the meantime, here's a small sampler of what to expect from that record. We re-recorded two songs from Rugged & Fancy, "Angels Whispering" and "Silver and Gold," and there's a track from the new album, "Dancing Song," which is one I've had kicking around for a while but finally found a home during the Rabbit sessions. Armand and I recorded it together, but then brought in an awesome group of people to flesh out the arrangement, including Adam Popick, Evan Hutchings, Kyle Ryan and Eleanore Denig. It was one of the first songs that made us realize that the new album would be this huge, beautiful beast that I couldn't be more proud of. I hope you dig it too.
So, go ahead and grab a download of the new EP. It's free, but if you love it you can leave me a tip. That will help me get these songs out on the road later this year. Thanks, of course, to NoiseTrade for being an awesome venue for indie artists to get their music out there. Can't wait to hear what you all think.
