So I recently launched my new album, Rabbit Runs A Destiny, pre-sale exclusively through PledgeMusic. I chose PledgeMusic because of the community aspect of the platform and I get to give 10% above my goal to a charity, The Pablove Foundation, who helps fight childhood cancer through funding research and working directly with families with children living with cancer through hospital play, the arts and music programs.
Anyone who pre-orders the album will get exclusive content like audio of the live recording of We Were Young, which we filmed and recorded in Waverly, Alabama during the Old 280 Boogie. Thanks to Will and Ann Dial Sims for the location and to Will for the history lesson about my Great Great Uncle Howard Hill, the legendary archer.
I hope you enjoy the video and let me know if you have any questions or comments and please share with your family and friends. info@duquettejohnston.com

A little Flashback Friday with my old song Broke and Lonely ones off of the Rugged and Fancy album. My dear friend Clint Wells on guitar. I barely recognized him. Filmed at The Bottletree Cafe by Greg Slamen.

I stumbled upon my good friend Caleb Chancey’s online zine he did about coats. I am wearing the Billy Reid/Levis collaboration coat. I need to get the coat altered to fit again. I love it and this reminded me why I missed it.

I remember the first time I watched the Woodstock film, well sort of remember. My life long friend Brandon Johnson and I did a history report on Woodstock and the events at Kent State. I believe this is when we watched the Woodstock VHS and from there dug into every band that we saw. We must have been in 7th or 8th grade. We were not like the other kids in our class. We loved hippy culture and most of all the music.
Fast forward many years in life. I watched just the Ten Years After video and my musical soul was melted. Alvin Lee was one with his guitar in a way that so few people can ever accomplish.
I’ll let the music do the talking. Turn it up Loud for Mr. Alvin Lee! RIP

Can’t do this without your help. http://noisetrade.com/duquettejohnston/rebel-king-ep #rebelkingep #rebelking #albumoftheday #myownalbumoftheday #iloveyall #music

I love listening to music as much as I love making music. This song by The Amazing is one of those songs that just stirs your soul when you hear it, or at least it did mine. Thankful everyday that God lets me remain on this earth and not only create music with amazing people, but also getting to listen to incredible music and be inspired. Huge thanks to my incredibly inspiring friend Matt Lane Harris for turning me on to them.
What bands are inspiring you these days?
All My Love,

I hope where ever you are in the world tonight that you will turn up this song and dance your ass off while you think only of the positive and of loving others. Don’t think about the bad of the past year, a new day is coming. Live and love in this moment. We all want to live a happy, peaceful life with our loved ones no matter what are background is. Love your wife, husband, children, neighbors and strangers you meet on the street.
I hope the new year brings all of you peace and joy.
Love,
Duquette
